The Dark Mark has appeared. Death Eaters are on the move. People are going missing and turning up dead. Voldemort is a ritual away from returning. The TriWizard Tournament has been cancelled as Beauxbatons and Durmstrang abandon the plans in the growing chaos in Britain.
A group pf witches and wizards have been gathering research independent of Dumbledore and the Ministry. They have allied with former Death Eater Regulus Black and so have learned about Voldemort using at least one horcrux. Now their studies have turned towards investigating the Dark Lord' past. Viktor Krum has joined the group, determined to play an active part in preventing the return of the Dark Lord.
The rising Death Eater movement has the Ministry on edge. Alastor Moody has gone missing but an imposter has taken his place - an imposter who will be taking up the Defence Against The Dark Arts position at Hogwarts
